Should Woman Lead in Church Activities?

Let's look at what the Bible says about women teaching and preaching:

1 Timothy 2:9-15 says: "In like manner also, the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shameface-ness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but with good works.  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.  Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also says the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." We see from these two passages women are to not teach publicly in the worship;  this includes leading in any way like preaching, leading a prayer, leading the singing or taking part of serving the Lord's Supper.  A woman can teach children and other woman.

Titus 2:3-5 "The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becomes holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."  This passage tells us that women need to have the older ladies teaching the younger ladies and that they should be good wives and help meets to their husbands and mothers for their children.

Women have a very important job as wife, mother, helper of man; as while as teaching of children. When God set up the way he placed the man to be in charge of the family and church in preaching, teaching, worship, praise, andleading of the congregation, especially in prayer; while, having women on other activities in helping, for she was created as a help mate and companion. Women are to help man, not to lead man.

This one topic is difficult for those who have turned the Word of God into Political understanding in today's
society, instead of remembering, God does not change, nor does the World belong in the Body of Christ.
Since political ways have taken over the Church's today due to desire of keeping the Peace with persons, God's Word has been looked upon to fit Man's way of doing, and not God's way. Express what you understand of this lesson, and this in itself will tell where you stand......with God's Word? or Your own? or Politically?

If its not in the Bible, Its not God's Word but Man's
What has always confused many;
Is the“Father, Son and Holy Ghost? Are these One being or three?
We discover more about who God when we look at the whole Bible. We may not fully grasp everything God reveals about Himself, but nevertheless, our inabilities doesn’t limit the truth of who he is.

In answer to your question we need to identify what parts of the Bible declares that there is one God, and where it states that the Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God. And remember, we have to come to grips that the Bible does not contradict itself.

1) The Bible has always said there is one God:

"Hear O’ Israel the Lord our God, the Lord is one." (Duet 6:4)
Jesus even confirms this in all that he says and teaches (Mk 12:29-30).

2) However, the Bible says:

The Father is God.(Matthew 6:8, 7:21, Galatians 1:1)
Jesus is God from the beginning (John 1: 1-18)
The Holy Spirit is God (John 15:26, Mark 3:29, 1 Corinthians 6:19).

3) There are occasions when God refers to himself in plural terms.

                      (Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7, Isaiah 6:8)

We cannot conclude from this that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are independent beings, because the Bible says there is ONE God. Additionally, if we conclude that they are three independent beings then we have broken the first of the 10 commandments in the Bible -

"You shall have no other gods besides me." (Deut. 5:7).  They cannot be independent.
How do we know this? Jesus explains it in John 14 – 17.

To summarize Jesus says "I and the Father are one" (John 10:38, 17:11, 21)

"I am in the Father and the Father is in me" (John 14:11).

This means Jesus and the Father must be the same God but distinct.

Now let’s consider what Jesus says about the Holy Spirit:

"I will send the Spirit of truth" for he lives with and will be in you" I am in my Father, and you are in me, and  I am in you". (John 14:17-18, 20)

Now we have to solve this riddle:
To satisfy His Ego and limited abilities

How can the Father and Son be within each other at once? How can the Son and the Holy Spirit be in me at once? The answer is: Only if they are one and the same yet distinct being, the one true God. And as we put together these facts that they are God himself.

Lesson 4
1.God does not contradict Himself. Spiritual words when used to explain Spiritual truths or Spiritual things

· will not result in contradiction,
· will not result in inconsistency
· will not result in disagreement with the Biblical Truth

This is the unique way the Holy Spirit teaches.

In using this unique method of teaching, nothing is added to or taken away from the word of God. There must be no contradiction between the different verses of the Bible because "spiritual things or spiritual truths are always expressed in spiritual words"

I Corinthian 2:13, is worth repeating: “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual”

2.  Why is it that Holy Bible contain no contradiction?

In the following verses it is explained:

a) and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work  2 Timothy 3:15-17

b) "Knowing  this first,  that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation,  for prophecy never came by the will of man,  but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit"
                                                                                                                                             2 Peter1:20-21

In it's original form the Bible contains no contradiction because:

a) "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God"   2 Timothy 3:15-17

b) There are no contradictions between the different verses of the Bible because: "spiritual things or spiritual truths  are expressed in spiritual words"  I Corinthians. 2:13

c) This is because God is the ultimate author of all the books and letters in the Bible though it was spoken and/or written by the Prophets, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles as they were inspired and moved by the Holy Spirit   2 Peter1:20-21

                             HOW TO BEHAVE
                                                                  Romans 12:1-16:27
                            Personal Responsibility

Romans 12:1
I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable (spiritual) service.

  • When sacrificing an animal according to God’s law, a priest killed the animal, cut it in pieces, and placed it on alter. Sacrifice was important, but even in the Old Testament God made it clear that obedience from the heart was much more important. 1 Samuel 15:22;  Psalm  40:6;  Amos 5:21-24
  • God wants us to offer ourselves, not animals, as living sacrifices---daily laying aside our own desires to follow him. We do this out of gratitude that our sins have been forgiven.

Romans 12:2: "And be not conformed [fashioned according] to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.
God has good, pleasing, and perfect plans for his children. He wants us to be new people with freshness of thought, alive to glorify him. Since he wants only what is best for us, and since he gave his Son to make our new lives possible, we should joyfully offer ourselves as living sacrifices for him.
The behavior and customs of this world” are usually selfish and often corrupting, and many Christians wisely decide that much worldly behavior is off-limits for them. Our refusal to conform to the world, however, we must go even deeper than the level of behavior and customs, it must be firmly founded in our minds.
This verse is also translated “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” It is possible to avoid most worldly customs and still be proud, covetous, selfish, stubborn, and arrogant.
Only when our minds are renewed by the new attitude Christ gives us are we truly transformed.
If our character is like Christ’s, we can be sure our behavior will honor God.
Romans 12:3: "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."
God's warning to us all... Be honest in your estimate of yourselves, measuring your value by how much faith our God and Savior Jesus Christ has given you.
We hear a lot about the importance of healthy self-esteem. Paul warns us, however, not to go too far in self-love---another translation says; no one should “think of himself more highly than he ought to think. “Some of us think too little of ourselves, some think too much.
The key to an honest and accurate evaluation knows the basis of our self-worth---our new identity in Christ. Apart from him, we are not worth very much by eternal standards; in him, our worth as a creation of God is infinite. Evaluating yourself by the worldly standards of success and achievement can cause you to think to much about your worth in the eyes of others and miss your true value in God’s eyes.

Why is God called “Eternal”?  The answer is found in Exodus 3:13-15

When God introduced Himself to Moses. He revealed His name to be “I Am That I Am.” That means God has always existed and always will(Psalms 90:1-2). God was here for an eternity before anything else existed (Psalms 90:4). Can you imagine a thousand years passing by like one day? God definitely sees the time differently, than we do(Isaiah 57:15). God  “inhabits eternity” – He is not bound by time. It’s hard to even imagine because we are physical and live only a short time. We are all like little children compared to the Eternal, and need to be humble before Him(Revelation 1:8).

How God made the Earth(Job 38:1,4). God put our planet in the perfect place in the Universe so we are comfortable and safe (Job 38:5). He mad the Earth the perfect size, And measured our just the right amount
of things life water, rocks, air and so on – so We could live here(Job 38:6). He anchored us perfectly so we know the sun will rise Every morning and set each night and we have four beautiful seasons(Psalms 104:5-9).

God commands the huge oceans --- and he makes sure they don’t drown all the land (Psalms 33:7-9).
Somethings God will never do (Numbers 23:19). God does not lie!  When He says Something, It is true. When He makes a promise, he always keeps it (Titus 1:1,2) That is why we can trust everything written in the
Bible(Hebrews 6:17-19). What God Says is sure, it can be like an anchor in our lives, keeping us steady and giving us hope. That is we can base our whole lives on what God says in the Bible(Luke 21:33). God’s Words are more dependable than the whole physical creation
NOTHING God has said will ever fail!  Isaiah 55:10,11;  Matthew 5:18;  Luke 16:17
